As Real As Airplanes

This beautiful California night scene was brought to you by your friendly U.S. military on Feb.25,1942 in L.A.
It seems like everyone was a bit trigger happy fearing another Japanese sneak attack, and blasted this 'airplane' with everything they had. Trouble was, it wasn't an airplane, and they still don't know what it was. After pummeling it to death, it just hovered for a while, then flew off , without any returned bullets or bombing. This certainly did not look like a Jap Airplane to me.
Which brings us up in time to 2005 at Toronto University. Former Canadian Minister of Defense Paul Hellyer told the audience that "UFO's are as real as the airplanes that fly over your head."
He went on:" The United States military are preparing weapons which could be used against the aliens, and they could get us into an intergalactic war without us ever having any warning."
Intergalactic war?? WTF?

Barring any onset of Alzheimer's, this guy is not your typical Roswell nutcase. He served under Nobel Peace Laureate Prime Minister Lester Pearson during 1963-67 and had privy to much research and reports us common folks do not.
After his speech, the audience did not jeer, or laugh, but gave him a standing ovation.
There seems to be a lot of strange smart people up north.
Closer to home, Dr. Steven Greer head the Disclosure project out of Washington D.C. who has dozens of ex-military, civilian contractors and other respectable and accomplished people pleading with the US and other governments to procure black-op and other secret ET information that they say they don't have, but others know they have, for the benefit of mankind.
Dr. Greer is also no dummy. He was an emergency room medical doctor in Virginia and N.C., who gave up his carreer to research the tons of evidence on hand concerning extra-terrestrial life actually visiting our planet, and the sharing of valuable information that is being withheld by top secret black-op programs.

I once asked my son's mathematics teacher what her thoughts on the mathematic possibility of intellegent life in the universe were.
I was expecting my eyes to glaze over with her dissertation of quantum physics, math cosines or probability theory. Instead her curt answer was: "None."
"What?" I cried. "Why?"
"Because Christ can only die once."

And that was it. Period. End of discussion.
I was dismissed.

No matter what you might believe of what has been happening, or what you might think is happening, there is definitely something happening.

Unless you're my son's math teacher. Then the only thing that's happening is the ice cream social, the gospel chorus biscuit buffet, the knitting club's great-new-exciting-ideas for Muu Muus breakfast and you had better get your ass to church. Soon.

When was this picture taken? Very cool post.

That math teacher was an idiot. In what appears to be an infinite and ancient universe, how can we be the only (or even the most)intelligent beings when the Earth is so young and we, humans, didn't arrive until after the Earth developed its third atmosphere?

You'll probably be interested in reading about the newest Japanese probe. It is collecting

(Whoops, didn't finish before I clicked enter)
... It is collecting samples from an asteroid and will hopefully bring them back to Earth. If they find simple life in the sample, the possibility of more complex and intelligent life in the universe will be a probability rather than a possibility. Peace.

Kathleen,

IMHO, there is no question as to whether there is other intellegent life out there. The million dollar question is it a physical intellegence similar to ours, or is it a spiritual intellegence, or perhaps both simultaneously.
Btw, the actual photo was taken on the date specified.

Aj, way to jump onto the sci-fi bandwagon. The ceiling of what we're told is possible must be ripped off from over us. The sky is not the limit, ever. There is no limit, only eternity. I personally feel that these UFOs are spiritual in nature. A big controversy you may be familiar with comes from Ezekial's description of the throne of God decending to earth before the prophet. the "wheel within the wheel". I don't think they could be both. I entertained that idea breifly, but for me it couldn't hold water.

I agree that "Jesus can only die once" is a cop out. The truth is real, and can be found. We must be diligent to see it, but it exists. So many religious sheep cannot fathom that basic fact. They say seeking truth is killing faith.
You know my opinions on that arguement. I'm starting from your first post and working my way up. Great job so far, though

Hey Mike,
Thanks for the notes. To a die-hard fundamentalist, nothing short of: "Jesus-still-loves-me-even-though-I-am-a-gross-overweight-212lb-pig, and besides that isn't really that much of a *sin*(tee-hee)", ........

is irrelevant.
